Your words touched me deeply. I was born in Taiwan and grew up in BC and Quebec. Now I’m back to Taiwan and living in Tainan, I’ve always appreciated the friendliness the Taiwanese display, even though they may make a foreigner feel distant in the very first place. Thank you so much for sharing.

this was a touching story and very well written blending the historical background with the sad incident and the way the Taiwanese exemplified their spirit

What a wonderfully fascinating story, despite its sadness. Enjoyed reading it immensely and appreciated how you left us on such a spiritual high!
